Debe mejorar.

Some historical facts are shared, and some points of interest in Istanbul's Sultanahmet district are shown, but overall it's a bit of a slog. Additionally, part of the tour was used to promote a Bosphorus cruise departing the following day. It needs improvement.

The explanations were fine, but Edu, the guide, is a bit of a clown, constantly trying to be funny by repeating the same jokes over and over. As soon as we finished the tour, he became rude and started criticizing everyone who, in his opinion, hadn't given him enough of a tip, which was very unprofessional of him.

A fairly comprehensive tour led by a Turkish man who told us absolutely everything about the history of the city's major monuments. He gave us useful recommendations for tourists. However, I didn't like the fact that he demanded a minimum price per person at the end of the tour and asked for a "tip."

Translate this opinion into English.

Our guide was very attentive, professional, and sincere, and he gave us several tips and general ideas… no objections, quite the opposite…. however, it is a tour around Sultanahmet where you take a stroll by the main monuments. I understand it is a free tour, but it left me a bit cold… Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

It was very good. Very entertaining. Good explanation. Perhaps what I liked least was that you couldn't interrupt him to ask questions; he said that was on the way from one place to another, but sometimes it was no longer relevant or he was talking to someone else. Una persona de 10 Translate this opinion into English.

I don't remember his name, I think it was Edu in Spanish (sorry). I love people like him... It was a fabulous and very entertaining tour. He's a very cheerful person, and his joy is contagious. Another tourist commented that he remembered the guide from a previous tour. I think I remember him now too, and the same thing happened to me. It's a shame that some other tourists were disrespectful to him, but he responded very elegantly. A truly wonderful person. Opinion translated. Show original.

We really enjoyed it. He told us many interesting things. Thanks to him, we know a bit more about the history of Turkey and Istanbul. El free tour fue fantástico. Totalmente recomendable.

The free tour was fantastic. Totally recommendable. We did it with "Edu" The problem came when he sold us on a paid tour of the Bosphorus saying that we would do it with him and before making the payment there on the street, we asked a girl if Edu was coming and she said yes, and after paying, 10 minutes later they told us he wasn't coming. More than 15 people signed up because of him. We felt deceived. He also told us that payment was possible by card and that was a lie. Opinion translated. Show original.

He's friendly, funny, speaks well, and the story is very good, but it's over half an hour too long because he spends his time going to friends' shops and bars, repeating things that are already known. Also, if you don't listen to him, he gets angry and isn't as funny anymore. It provoked different opinions within the group. Opinion translated. Show original.

Muchas gracias. Translate this opinion into English.

We arrived in Istanbul the day before, and as a way to get to know the city, especially the Sultanahmet neighborhood and its importance for organizing the following days of visits, it was EXCELLENT. Moreover, Engin, the guide, was fantastic, a Turkish descendant, and he was perfectly understandable. He recommended places and all kinds of important tips to keep in mind during the vacation. Thank you very much. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

Everything was great, but my only reason for not giving it an Excellent rating is that I think there were too many comments about other tours with Civitatis. Also, being recommended a shop and restaurant next to the Civitatis office didn't make sense. As for the guide, his explanations were very good and he was very friendly. Opinion translated. Translate this opinion into English.

A great guide, perhaps we missed having explored the city a bit more, since the tour only focuses on Sultanahmet Square and its most important monuments, but thanks to the photos he brought of other important areas and his explanations, we were able to learn a large part of Istanbul's history.

Good activity exploring the most iconic spots in Istanbul with some tips from the guide, although I would have liked more detail about the history of each site. Another thing that wasn't very appreciated was that he tried to sell us another tour he was doing in the afternoon three times.

Translate this opinion into English.

Our guide explained everything very well and gave us some pointers on how to explore the city and what to visit. He recommended taking a trip along the Bosphorus, and it was a great idea; we were able to see another side of the city, and they explained how to get back to the other side for very little money on the local ferry. Translate this opinion into English.

It was good for getting a general overview of Istanbul's history; we toured the historic center, and the explanations were excellent. I didn't like that the guide, Edu, recommended the boat trip that afternoon with him, promising we'd see the sunset over the Bosphorus with the city lights, which never happened because the tour ended around 5:30 or 6:00 PM on the Asian side. Furthermore, when I asked him about a nighttime tour with dinner and a show, he spoke very negatively about it, even though it was the best tour we took. Opinion translated. Show original.

Muy recomenda Translate this opinion into English.

Excellent free tour with Edu. Charismatic, with a great pace and tons of information about Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque, all in clear Spanish. What I appreciated most was his honesty: he gave us practical advice without a set agenda, including a recommendation for a very good, inexpensive restaurant (Esto), instead of sending us to an expensive rooftop bar that pays a commission. The next day I took the Bosphorus boat trip he offered afterward, and it was also well worth it. Highly recommended. Opinion translated. Show original.
